Uly check up, as the bike run iregular around 2500-3000 rpm dead give a way for intake seals leaking, as they where

Uly check up,, to little time to day to change the intake seals, but continue with the bearing check , rear wheel out

Uly check up, rear brake caliper off

Uly check up, mhee. feeling a little gritty, better change these before they break on a holiday trip

Uly check up, old rear bearings

Uly check up, custom made Oem big right airscoop on euro model header

Uly check up, bike turned around for the front end check

Uly check up,, axle out

Uly check up, and caliper of

Uly check up, front forks out

Uly check up,little protection to keep the cap nuts nice

Uly check up,, oil changed ready to go back in

Uly check up, with new front wheel bearings as the fronts where even worse than the rear

Uly check up, wheel back in and caliper back on , old school security, paint dots to check if bolts come loose, no need for loctide is you check it every time you see the bike wink-emoticon

XB brake fluid , seen all across europe and still going strong, some little aging problems to take care off

XB brake fluid , with a 05 engine, never been opened

XB brake fluid , the screws on the reservoir cap where not working any more, drill to make a center

XB brake fluid , and than a little smaller drill bit carefully drill until the heads come off

XB brake fluid , take the outer cap off , and normaly you can unscrew the old screws by hand

XB brake fluid , changed the brake fluid ( long overdue ) and new cap scews with a little neverseas

XB brake fluid , old bike problems, ratteling levers and worn pressure points , the brake lever felt like a dead point, little clean up and grease makes things allot better

XB brake fluid , rear brake ratteling, the sliders in the bracket are worn out and the caliper has way to much play

XB brake fluid , re moveing the caliper

XB brake fluid , as the sliding action happens inside the bracket, a new bracket was needed

XB brake fluid , fil hole with lube, and press pin in so you know the lube is every where inside

XB brake fluid , new boot for the pin to hold the grease in and the dirt out , and it is good again for the next 100000 km wink-emoticon

XB brake fluid , rear bake fluid was also over due

XB brake fluid , a other old bike problem, rattely levers , they ware out the pivot hole , i put a new one on , and new pivot pin

23-7-2015 – What did we do today 22-7-2015, some Buell M2 TLC, and 883R jetting check

22-7-2015, some M2 TLC, 883R jetting check

23-7-2015 – What did we do today 22-7-2015, some Buell M2 TLC, and 883R jetting check

some M2 TLC, nice M2 in for some love, daily driver and is it’s first motorcycle, nice taste in bikes, i would say smile-emoticon

some M2 TLC, heating up the bike so most oil is in the oil tank and drain , leave it can take a while wink-emoticon

some M2 TLC,silicone kit …mehh.. better use a fresh clutch cover seal ubber . little mayo, will check the clutch cable boot

some M2 TLC, boot is still ok, but will lube it and zipty the booth so it is watter tight

some M2 TLC, exhaust off for gearbox oil drain

some M2 TLC, will put some better heast grade in as the 7’s are for old sportsters, not for open exhaust pipe buell models, spark plug cable is scuffed

883R jetting check , crasy nice bike, only 5600 km done, bike was doing a little ruckelfarten at 70 km/h… with open exhaust , not sure the jetting was set fot this ,

883R jetting check cover and airfilter off, take the breather plugs out and uncrew the base cover

883R jetting check , with the choke cable loose from the bracket, pull off the carb

883R jetting check , drain the float bowl by loosening the scew

883R jetting check , main jet was ok, but slow jet was to small for this setup, will step up to 45

883R jetting check , and put in a mid range needle

883R jetting check , mounting everything back, nice these hold one washers.

some M2 TLC, yep that was also where the bike came for , rear isolators are shot…

some M2 TLC, first rear end check, loosen the axle nut

some M2 TLC, an pul the axle out, catching the adjuster plates ,

some M2 TLC, as usual, wheel bearings are good… not really a issue with Tube frame models

some M2 TLC, so fresh rond tyre back on… he will love this , as the old tyre was something like a car tyre

some M2 TLC, loosen the rear tierod bolt , connecting the left side frame to the swaing arm adaptor, to loosen and remove the isolators

some M2 TLC, so badly worn that it took no trouble at all to remove these with out to many special tools

some M2 TLC, with the right side isolator out, piece off cake to remove the left side, after removing the foot rest and exhaust bolts

some M2 TLC, left side old isolator, i think i will re-route the breather hose ( open end ) as it is spuwing now right on the rubbers… oil and rubbers don’t go to getter very well

some M2 TLC, a little help from a tyre iron and slide the left new isolator back in place

some M2 TLC, off course it douse not line up, and will be very ahrd to line up , better put the left on in to , so there is tension on the rubbers

some M2 TLC, and with a little tension on the rubbers… you can line out the hole very easy

some M2 TLC, and the b1g bolt back in tighten to 100 NM

some M2 TLC, check the gap on new spark plugs… you need to set these

some M2 TLC, nice new spraky cables on

some M2 TLC, little trick to no spill so much oil on the regulator when you remove the oil filter

via TWIN Motorcycles.

19-7-2015 – What did we do today 17/18-07-2015, X1 Oil cooler, XB small check up, Xb front disk

very nice X1, small oil cooler to be mounted

X1 oil cooler, mounting a oil cooler is best done with oil change, so drain the oil

X1 oil cooler, and while draining start removing the front t-bar bolt , as usual corroded , nasty place for a bolt in the spray off the front wheel

X1 oil cooler, the JAG small oil cooler kit. the kit can be found here: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp?guid=YXHFSC&aid=1863&cid=0&s=740075&a&aname=Complete_Oil_cooler_kit_Buell_1996-2001

X1 oil cooler, come with everything you need, check the nut , and the oil cooler adaptor for burs the kit can be found here: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp?guid=YXHFSC&aid=1863&cid=0&s=740075&a&aname=Complete_Oil_cooler_kit_Buell_1996-2001

X1 oil cooler, old oil filter off , making a little oil screen from a oil bottle make things a little less messy

X1 oil cooler, as the complete assembly is hold on by the original oil filter mount, check this , or remove and fasten again with loctite so it will not come loose the kit can be found here: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp?guid=YXHFSC&aid=1863&cid=0&s=740075&a&aname=Complete_Oil_cooler_kit_Buell_1996-2001

X1 oil cooler, attach the hoses to the adaptor and mount it, again using loctite on the nut the kit can be found here: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp?guid=YXHFSC&aid=1863&cid=0&s=740075&a&aname=Complete_Oil_cooler_kit_Buell_1996-2001

X1 oil cooler, mount the oil cooler on the front brace and cut hoses to lenght so they run nice and not rub the kit can be found here: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp?guid=YXHFSC&aid=1863&cid=0&s=740075&a&aname=Complete_Oil_cooler_kit_Buell_1996-2001

X1 oil cooler, to keep it tight best to leave the top hose off untill you mounted the oil filter , fill up with oil and let the engine run to check fot oil leaks… taking it out for a spin, to heat up the oil, and check again for sweating / leaks the kit can be found here: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp?guid=YXHFSC&aid=1863&cid=0&s=740075&a&aname=Complete_Oil_cooler_kit_Buell_1996-2001

XB Small check up, very nice bike with very little km done , as service or history was not shure… beter check her,

XB Small check up, little rubbing marks on the ecm wire loom from the seat , will take care off this

XB Small check up, missing bolts and other loose

XB Small check up, first looks can be deciving,, i say there was a other exhaust mounted, and for selling the bike the original exhaust was put back , front muffler clamp missing

XB Small check up, and the rear exhaust straps put back the lazy way wink-emoticon , little things if you know where to look for.. strap can be found here: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp?guid=YXHFSC&aid=547&cid=0&s=S1123.02A8&a&aname=Buell_XB9_and_XB12_03-10_Rear_Exhaust_Strap

XB Small check up, checking primairy tension

XB Small check up, and belt ware is , small signs off ware are there..

XB Small check up, but the belt looks according the speedo read out , with little driving and wet surroundings the steel front pully corrodes , not really a problem, riding will rub this corrosion clean again, but this speeds up the ware on the belt

XB Small check up, wheel bearings in perfect shape

XB Small check up, so fresh oil filter on

XB Small check up, trow away the screwed up chin spoiler screws

XB Small check up, exhaust clamp mounted

XB Small check up, front end check up

XB Small check up, everything as it should be… nice and alsmost new

XB Small check up, re-isolated the rubbing mark, and routed the ecm wires so this will not happen again

XB Small check up, just push the suspention off jour bike sometimes, i noted the rear was not reacting really nice, rebound was a little to slow… adjusted it a little better… hope he likes it; smile-emoticon

XB front disk, a other beuty in for new disk…

XB front disk, with the last service i allready noticed the warping , you can see on the band wear marks on the disk the disk is concave

17-7-2015 – What did we do today 16-7-2015 CHeck up XB , bussy day with to little thinker time

Check up XB , nice bike in nice condition

Check up XB, little buggers on the oil drain plug, ( very fine metal dust ) nothing real alarming but something to look for the next oil change , if this get wors, not uncomman for the early model engines

Check up XB, fresh oil filter on

Check up XB, bearing check , all good

Check up XB, belt begins to show some ware signs , something to keep a eye out for

Check up XB, neutral switch working / not . now it wokrs off cource , little high on resitance, leave it for now, as the customer know how to start the bike if the switch is broken

Check up XB,front engine mount rubber is torn.. will replace this one

Check up XB, old model lower betl guard back on, use some never seas on the screws in the swing arm, as the little screws can be a bugger when they seas

Check up XB,primiary tension check —

Check up XB, was alittle loose ( even with hot engine )

Check up XB, little creative supporting the weight off the engine with out having to remove the exhaust

Check up XB, and loosening the crash protection

Check up XB, you see the chamfer made for the old model front mount

Check up XB, front mount off clearly you can see the rubber is starting to crack

Check up XB, custom parts never fit…. look like the manufator from this crash protection only looked at the old style isolator as the big bolt has to little room , and is toughing the crash protection

Check up XB, some minutes with the angel grinder clearing some alumium and the bolt as enough room to move

Check up XB, brake fluid change… and test ride smile-emoticon
